Dr. Hudson RogersHe is a graduate of St. Andrews College and the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a three-year residency in Dermatology at the Medical University of South Carolina where he served as chief resident in 1982. He is board certified in Dermatology. In August 2008, Dr. Rogers completed a one year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Skin Cancer Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology in Tallahassee, FL. He is a member of the Charleston County Medical Society, South Carolina Medical Association, The American Academy of Dermatology, The American College of Mohs Surgery, The American Society for Dermatology Surgery, and past President of the South Carolina Dermatological Association. He is listed in Best Doctors in America.

 

 

Edward George Butler, II, M.D.

Dr. Edward George Butler IIEdward George Butler, II, M.D. received his bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy before attending medical school at the Uniformed Services University. He completed Undersea Medical Officer School before completion of a residency in Dermatology at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. He served as a Staff Dermatologist at the Naval Health Clinic of Charleston from 2005-2015. Dr  Butler is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.   He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is a member of the Charleston Dermatologic Society and SC Dermatological Association.

 

Michael Hull, MD

Dr. Michael HullHe is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and Harvard Medical School. He completed a three-year residency in Dermatology at Duke Hospital. He is board certified in Dermatology. He is a member of the Charleston County Medical Society, Medical Society of South Carolina, South Carolina Medical Association, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Hull has been in private practice in the Charleston area for over 25 years.

 

Pearon Lang, MD

Dr. Pearon LangHe is a graduate of the University of Virginia college and medical school. He completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Michigan and fellowship in Mohs surgery at George Washington University and the University of Wisconsin with Dr. Frederic Mohs. He is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. He has served on the faculty of Emory University and the Medical University of South Carolina where he was professor of Dermatology, Pathology, and Otolaryntology and director of the division of Dermatology Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and program director for the fellowship in Procedural Dermatology. He is past president of the South Carolina Dermatological Association and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He has been the recipient of a number of awards including “Outstanding Dermatologist of South Carolina” and “Outstanding Clinician” at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is listed in the Best Doctors in America and the Best Doctors in the Southeast. His main area of interest is Mohs Surgery and the management of skin cancer. He has expertise in laser surgery, the management of vascular lesions and birthmarks, and a number of cosmetic procedures including Botox, fillers, and skin resurfacing.

 

John Maize, Jr., MD

Dr. John Maize, Jr. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College before attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, serving as chief resident in 2001. Upon completion of his clinical Dermatology residency, Dr. Maize obtained additional fellowship training in Dermatopathology (the microscopic diagnosis of skin disease) at the University of California, San Francisco. He served on the faculty of the Dermatology departments at both UCSF and subsequently MUSC in clinical Dermatology, and was the laboratory director of a local Dermatopathology laboratory for almost 9 years before joining Trident Dermatology. Dr. Maize is board certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology. He is a member of multiple local, state, and national medical organizations, including the Charleston Dermatological Society, South Carolina Dermatological Association, American Academy of Dermatology, and American Society of Dermatopathology.

 

Michael Overcash, PA

Michael Overcash, PAHe holds degrees from Furman University, the University of Nebraska, and the Medical University of South Carolina (Magna Cum Laude). He is a nationally certified physician assistant and is licensed to practice medicine by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners under the supervision of Hudson Rogers, M.D. He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the South Carolina Association of Physician Assistants. He was named Physician Assistant of the Year for 2009 by the SC Association of Physician Assistants. He is a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology PAs.
